The Barbados Statistical Service (BSS) is bound by law and the Statistics Act 1958 (Cap. 192).
The data the BSS collects, analyses and disseminates is for statistical purposes only. All employees of the BSS, whether temporary or permanent, are required to sign an Oath of Office as part of the employment process. Any breaches of the Statistics Act are punishable by law. The information disseminated by the BSS is presented in a manner that promotes the protection of confidential information. This information is presented in an aggregated and anonymized format; data is never presented so as to allow the identification of any individual, household or establishment.
