Visitor Arrivals Statistics

Description

International visitation data consisting of detailed statistics on inbound visitors including tourists and cruise arrivals. Available are monthly estimates of total arrivals containing data on purpose of visit, length of stay, country of residence, cruise arrivals and other arrival statistics.

NOTICE: During the period December 2024 to March 2025, technical issues affecting the primary source data from the Barbados Immigration Department necessitated the use of an alternative data source in an effort to provide the most accurate possible estimates of arrival numbers while the IT issues were being resolved. Subsequent monitoring and evaluation indicated that limitations in the alternative source - particularly the absence of sufficiently granular information on traveller intent – such as length of stay and purpose of visit and variations within specific traveller subcomponents - resulted in an overestimation of long-stay Visitor Arrivals during the period under review. Consequently, the Barbados Statistical Service has revised its Visitor Arrival numbers for the aforementioned period.
